OUR MISSION
The Southern Bookseller Review brings the favorite books of our region’s independent booksellers to readers everywhere. Southern indie bookseller reviews are at the heart of our mission to highlight diverse literary tastes and interests and help book lovers find their next great read. Indie booksellers delight in discovering books to share with other readers and we believe you’ll find their enthusiasm for the books they love irresistible.
The Southern Bookseller Review is published by the Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance (SIBA) and is actively committed to diversity, inclusion, and racial equity as affirmed in SIBA’s statement against racism.

Submitting Books for Review
All reviews published by The Southern Bookseller Review are submitted by booksellers from independent bookstores in the South. SBR does not accept books directly for review, but publishers, authors, and publicists can visit SBR’s parent organization, the Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance, for help in promoting books to Southern indie booksellers.
Submitting Reviews for Publication
You must be a bookseller with a Southern independent bookstore to submit a review for SBR. Only bookstores which are current members of the Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance are eligible to have reviews by their staff published in the Southern Bookseller Review. Booksellers submit their reviews either by posting them to the book’s listing on Edelweiss Plus or posting them to SIBA directly.
